Overview

There are no diagnostic laboratory findings associated with hamartoma. However in some cases laboratory tests such as complete blood count, serum electrolytes, urea levels, and alkaline phosphatase levels may be indicated if the tumor becomes symptomatic.

Laboratory findings consistent with the diagnosis of hamartoma include:^[1]

Complete blood count (CBC)

Serum electrolytes
Calcium
Phosphate
Potassium

Urea levels
Liver function tests
CD8
Key feature that differentiates splenic hamartoma from other vascular lesions of the spleen.
