Nuclear Medicine

  • Scintigraphy may be used to differentiate Kaposi’s sarcoma from other diseases such as:[1][2]
  • Thallium 201 (Th201) scan is usually positive in both lymphoma and Kaposi’s sarcoma
  • Gallium 67 (Ga67) scan is usually negative in Kaposi’s sarcoma but positive in lymphoma
