Karyorrhexis

Morphological characteristics of karyorrhexis and other forms of nuclear destruction

Karyorrhexis is the destructive fragmentation of the nucleus of a dying cell[1]. It is usually preceded by pyknosis and can occur either as a result of programmed cell death or necrosis.
