• The dose of magnesium hydroxide liquid as an antacid is 400 to 1200 milligrams orally up to 4 times daily.
• For the treatment of indigestion, the dose of magnesium oxide tablets is 800 milligrams (482.6 mg elemental magnesium) orally daily with food.
