Medulloblastoma physical examination

Overview

Patients with medulloblastoma usually appear restless. Physical examination of patients with medulloblastoma is usually remarkable for strabismus, nystagmus, motor weakness, and ataxia.^[1]^[2]

General Appearance

Patients with medulloblastoma usually appear restless

HEENT

Head tilt sign
Increased head circumference
Papilledema
Strabismus
Nystagmus
“Setting-sun” eye phenomenon (up-gaze paresis with the eyes appearing driven downward) ^[3]

CNS

Ataxia
Motor weakness
Facial sensory loss
Third, fourth, and sixth cranial nerve palsies
