Membranous glomerulonephritis history and symptoms

Overview

The hallmark of membranous glomerulonephritis is nephritic syndrome. A positive history of weight gain, foamy appearance urine, fatigue and headache are suggestive of membranous glomerulonephritis.

History and Symptoms

The hallmark of membranous glomerulonephritis is nephritic syndrome^[1]^[2]^[3]

A positive history of proteinuria and hypertension is suggestive of membranous glomerulonephritis.
Symptoms of nephrotic syndrome include:
- Headache
- Edema (swelling) in any area of the body
- Foamy appearance of urine
- Weight gain
- Poor appetite
- Urination, excessive at night
- Fatigue

History

Patients with glomerulonephritis may have a positive history of:^[1]^[2]^[3]
- Unexplained weight gain
- Headache
- Edema Swelling of legs
- High blood pressure
- Foamy appearance of urine

Common Symptoms

Common symptoms of membranous glomerulonephritis include:^[1]
- Foamy urine
- Edema swelling of feets
- Unexplained weight gain

Less Common Symptoms

Less common symptom of membranous glomerulonephritis include:^[1]
- Headache
