Chest X-ray is employed in pneumonia to determine the lobe involvement. Findings that can be seen on chest x-ray include:
X Ray Joints
X-rays of the joints is used in the diagnosis of septic arthritis, which is caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Plain film findings of septic arthritis include:
- Joint effusion
- Soft tissue swelling
- Periarticular osteoporosis
- Loss of joint space
- Marginal and central erosions
- Bone ankylosis
