Milk-alkali syndrome is diagnosed by history of excessive calcium consumption, hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis and variable degrees of renal insufficiency.

and

• The following laboratory findings:
  • Hypercalcemia
  • Metabolic alkalosis
  • Variable degrees of renal insufficiency
