Diagnostic Study of Choice

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is primarily diagnosed based on the clinical presentation: i.e; presence of obsessions and/or compulsions that consume a significant amount of time (e.g., more than 1 hour per day), impairing daily day to day activities including social, occupational and other important areas of functioning. The symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder are not due to another medical disorder or substance abuse.
