Parathyroid cancer CT

Overview

Neck CT scan may be diagnostic of parathyroid cancer. Findings on CT suggestive of parathyroid cancer include metastasis and invasion of surrounding tissues.^[1]

CT Scan

Assess the central part of the chest cavity (the mediastinum)
Assess the parathyroid glands in the mediastinum
Identify distant metastases
