PIPRACIL, sterile piperacillin sodium, is a semisynthetic broad-spectrum penicillin for parenteral use, which is rapidly absorbed after intramuscular injection. PIPRACIL is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in different conditions.[1]

Mechanism of Action
Mechanism of Action
Piperacillin is an antibiotic which exerts its bactericidal activity by inhibiting both septum and cell wall synthesis. It is active against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.[1]
