Overview

Most patients with premature atrial contraction are asymptomatic. Rarely they present with palpitation and complications.

History and Symptoms

Premature atrial contraction (PACs) is the most common form of supraventricular arrhythmia. Most patients are asymptomatic.
Premature atrial contraction is rarely associated with severe symptoms and palpitation is the only complaint in most of the cases.
Rarely patients may present with exercise intolerance and fatigue due to bradycardia caused by blocked PACs.
