Retinitis surgery

Overview

Surgical intervention is not recommended for the management of retinitis. Cataract surgery has been hypothesized to produce positive results within populations suffering from retinitis pigmentosa. However no studies have proven this method to be significantly effective.^[1]

Surgery

Cataract surgery has been hypothesized to enhance a retinitis pigmentosa patient’s condition. However studies indicate that improvement are not evidently significant as well as potentially dangerous.^[1]
