A chest x-ray is of no clinical importance in the diagnosis of rhinitis, unless it is necessary for the evaluation of some associated co-morbid conditions.

A Chest x ray is not indicated for the diagnosis of rhinitis. However, it may be necessary in the evaluation of associated co-morbid conditions. The clinical practice guideline on allergic rhinitis discouraged the routine use of sinonasal imaging in patients with symptoms consistent with a diagnosis of allergic rhinitis.[1]
