SREBP cleavage activating protein

SREBP cleavage-activating protein (SCAP) is regulatory protein that is required for the proteolytic cleavage of the sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP). SCAP is an integral membrane protein located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).[1]
