Primary Prevention
Primary Prevention
- There are no established measures for the primary prevention of scoliosis.
- As the etiology of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is unknown and the majority of patients are asymptomatic, healthy, active adolescents, there is no system of primary prevention.
- Maintaining a healthy weight, getting proper nutrition and exercising helps prevent development of degenerative scoliosis.
