Diagnostic Study of Choice

There are no established criteria for the diagnosis of T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. Patients with T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia are diagnosed by clinical presentation, evaluation of the peripheral blood and bone marrow. Flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry should be performed to diagnose T cell immunophenotype.
