Tracheal bronchus is aberrant bronchus that arises from the right tracheal wall above the carina. It Results from an additional tracheal outgrowth early in embryonic life. Incidence ranges between 0.1 and 5%. Occasionally, it causes persistent or recurrent pneumonia. It is associated with other bronchopulmonary anomalies, tracheal stenosis, or Down’s syndrome.
