Yellow fever physical examination

Physical findings include fever, scleral and dermal icterus, hemorrhages (e.g., hematemesis, melena, petechiae, ecchymoses), and epigastric tenderness with or without hepatomegaly.^[1]

• Fever
• Bradycardia (Faget’s sign) or tachycardia
• Hypotension

• Jaundice
• Petechiae
• Purpura
• Erythema of the gum

• Scleral icterus
• Conjuntival injection

• Epigastric tenderness

• Diffuse tenderness
• Hepatomegaly

• Altered mental status
• Delirium (seen in the toxic phase)
• Seizures (seen in the toxic phase)
• Coma (seen in the toxic phase)
