Anaplastic thyroid cancer physical examination

Patients with anaplastic thyroid cancer usually appear thin and cachectic. Physical examination of patients with anaplastic thyroid cancer is usually remarkable for thyromegaly, lymphadenopathy, and anxiety.

• Patient may be thin and cachectic

• A fever is often present

• Tachycardia

• The pulse is irregularly irregular

• Hypertension

• Tachypnea may be present

Moist, warm skin

• 
  On physical examination, she had goiter with large nodule in the right lobe of her thyroid gland.. ^[1]
