Exogenous bacteria


Exogenous bacteria are bacteria introduced to closed biological systems from the external world. They exist in water, earth, and the air. Examples are cholera, Legionella, salmonella, Lyme disease, tuberculosis, and bactillus anthracis. Endogenous bacteria are part of our normal internal flora.
